ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rear projection or translucent screen consist- ing of a circular Fresnel lens consisting of a plurality of concentrically circular lens elements and a lenticular lens having a plurality of cor- rugated parallel convex lens elements. Parallel pro- jections or ridges are formed on the surface opposite to the lens surface of the lenticular lens and masking stripes are formed over the projections or ridges. The side surfaces of the projections or ridges are so defined that they will not intercept the light rays emerging from the corrugated parallel convex lens elements. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the top of each of the projections or ridges is formed with a groove and an ink is filled into the groove. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the position of each projection or ridge is deviated from the boundary between the adjacent corru- gated parallel convex lens elements by a distance which is determined by a predetermined relationship.
