The invention relates to a rear roof frame for a motor vehicle with a hatchback which is connected to the roof frame. The rear roof frame consists of an upper shell and a lower shell joined thereto. The aim of the invention is to provide a rear roof frame which, despite its shell-type structure, consists of a light construction and displays in a simple manner enough stiffness with respect to torsion and enough flexural strength to withstand high mechanical strain. In order to achieve this, a hollow profile section respectively emanating from a transition area leading to the side roof frame is arranged inside the shell-type structure and extends parallel to the longitudinal extension thereof, terminating at least on the end facing away from the side roof frame in an elbow piece which kinks in the direction of the nose of the vehicle and which has an opening on the front face of the longitudinally extending section pointing to the rear. A hatchback hinge fixed in the hollow profile section protrudes through said opening. The end of the rear roof frame forms a tubular hollow profile section of the side roof frame, said section being connected to the hollow profile of the rear roof frame.
Cadre arrière de toit pour automobile possédant un hayon monté sur le cadre de toit, le cadre arrière de toit étant constitué d'une coque supérieure et d'une coque inférieure jointe à la coque supérieure. L'objet de la présente invention est d'obtenir un cadre arrière de toit qui, malgré une construction sous forme de coque, possède, de manière simple et avec une construction légère, une résistance à la torsion et à la flexion suffisante pour supporter de fortes sollicitations mécaniques. A cet effet, un profilé creux, qui part de la zone de raccord avec le cadre latéral de toit, est placé à l'intérieur de la structure sous forme de coque. Ce profilé s'étend parallèlement à l'extension longitudinale de la structure et se termine par un coude incurvé en direction de l'avant de l'automobile au niveau de son extrémité opposée au cadre latéral de toit. Au niveau de la face orientée vers l'arrière de son segment à extension longitudinale, ledit profilé creux possède une ouverture par laquelle fait saillie une charnière de hayon fixée au profilé creux. L'extrémité du cadre arrière de toit forme un profilé creux tubulaire du cadre latéral de toit raccordé au profilé creux du cadre arrière de toit.
