TITLE OF THE INVENTION: REAR VIEW MIRROR FOR AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A rear view mirror, especially external rear view mirror, for automotive vehicles, in which the housing receiving the mirror body is provided with a holding structure for connect- ing the rear view mirror to an automotive vehicle, and in which the holding structure may be provided with an adjust- able joint for the mirror. The housing is pivotally mounted on the holding structure so as selectively to be pivotable about an axis transverse to a side wall of the housing over an angle of about 180° relative to the holding structure and is arrestable in the respective adjusted position.
