ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hollow mirror head assembly is disclosed which includes a thin wall mirror supporting shell, an internal bracket member secured between angularly related walls of the mirror head shell to reduce the tendency of said shell to vibrate. More specifically, the mirror head assembly includes a hollow shall having an open face, a peripheral rim formed about the open face of the shell, and a mirror element mounted in the open face of the shell and retained therein by the rim. The shell includes a first wall extending rearwardly from the rim, the said wall being generally perpendicular to the mirror element. The shell includes a second wall projecting from the rearmost end of said first wall and terminates at the peripheral rim. An opening is formed in the first wall of the shell and a cylindrical support arm extends through this opening. A bracket structure is mounted within the shell for adjustably supporting the shell upon the support arm. This bracket structure comprises a first member having a base portion fixed to the first wall of the shell, an elongated planar portion extending normally to said base portion, and means bonding the elongated portion of the first member to the second wall of the shell. The elongated portion of the first bracket member includes an offset cylindrical section concentrically disposed with respect to the support arm. This bracket structure includes a second member having a pair of transversely spaced planar portions and an intermediate cylindrical section concentrically disposed with respect to the said support arm. Means are provided for securing the planar portions of the second member in abutting relationship to the elongated planar portion of the first bracket member in order to clampingly engage the support arm between the cylindrical sections of the first and second bracket members. This makes it possible to rotatably adjust the shell about the support arm.
