ABSTRACT RECEPTACLE FOR FLAT MULTICONDUCTOR CABLE A receptacle for use with flat conductor cable is provided with a grounding contact that can be urged into electrically conductive contact with the cable grounding conductor and protective shield on such cable indepen- dently of the means by which other contacts in the re- ceptacle are urged into electrically conductive contact with the respective live and neutral conductors of the cable.
