A receptacle (10) for holding fine powders comprises a receptacle body (12) that defines an enclosed cavity (20). The receptacle body (12) has a top end (14) and a bottom end (16). Further, the bottom end (16) of the receptacle body (12) includes a raised central region (26) that extends upwardly into the cavity (20). In this way, the flow of air through the cavity will remain generally adjacent the walls of the cavity until exiting through an extraction tube.
