It is intended to provide a TGR5 receptor agonist containing a fused ring compound represented by the following general formula, its salt or a prodrug thereof: (I) wherein the ring A represents an optionally substituted aromatic ring; and the ring B~ represents a 5- to 8-membered ring having one or more substituents; which is useful in treating various diseases.
