A recessed fluorescent luminaire housing is described wherein the housing is formed from one piece with included coup- ling elements to permit quick assembly. The design provides flexibility for model changes without the need to redesign the main luminaire housing. The luminaire housing is made from a single piece sheet metal blank. The diffuser panel frame is made from two sheet metal blanks.
