VELKE ABSTRACT A racquet frame, such as used in the game of tennis, which includes as part of its exterior finish a bumper strip, commonly employed to protect said racquet frame exterior against scuffs and wear, by locating such bumper strip into a recessed area into the exterior of said racquet frame. Such recessed bumper strip provides the desired frame protection but with improved racquet aerodynamics.
