ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rechargeable applicator for dispensing substances especially substances in a foam or foam-like condition including dispensing them into body cavities or elsewhere, the applicator includes a pressurized container having one end which is normally closed by valve means and filled with a substance under pressure for dispensing therefrom, and means cooperatively associated with said container to define therewith an expandable chamber into which some of the contents of the container can be expelled in a foam or foam-like condition when the container is withdrawn but not separated from said means, said container thereafter serving as a plunger for expelling the contents of said means into a body cavity or elsewhere where the substance is to be used.
