ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A relatively simple reciprocating gang saw includes a rectangular saw frame carried by a main frame, a plurality of parallel blades extending between the top and bottom ends of the saw frame, a motor driven drive shaft, a planetary gear system connecting the drive shaft to the bottom end of the saw frame for reciprocating the latter through an elliptical path of travel, and an eccentric linkage connecting the drive shaft to the top end of the saw frame for causing such top end to follow a path of travel resembling a figure eight.
