A reciprocating high pressure compressor comprising a housing defining a central chamber. A crankshaft is rotatably mounted in the housing within said central chamber. At least one cylinder is mounted on the housing and defines a compressor chamber therein. A connecting element is drivingly connected to the crankshaft for reciprocating movement along a longitudinal axis passing through the housing and the cylinder. A piston is disposed within the cylinder on the axis and in spaced radial relation to the cylinder to define a continuous uninterrupted annular gap therebetween. The gap communicating the compressor chamber with the central chamber. A mounting coupling with piston to the connecting element for movement therewith parallel to the longitudinal axis. The mounting includes at least one bearing member between the piston and the connecting element moveable transversely of the longitudinal axis to permit relative transverse movements therebetween. An improved dry operating high pressure reciprocating compressor capable of operating with relatively large service intervals is provided in accordance with the present invention.
Cette invention concerne un compresseur alternatif haute pression dont le carter définit un volume intérieur centré. Un vilebrequin est monté sur tourillons dans le carter sur lequel est disposé au moins un cylindre matérialisant une chambre de compression. Une bielle est articulée au vilebrequin de manière à transmettre un mouvement alternatif linéaire à un piston centré dans le cylindre, dans le prolongement de l'axe de la bielle. Entre ledit piston et la paroi du cylindre est réservé un espace annulaire ininterrompu qui met en communication la chambre de compression et le volume intérieur centré du carter. Le piston est articulé sur le pied de bielle au moyen d'un axe de manière qu'il se déplace parallèlement à l'axe longitudinal. Cette articulation comporte au moins un coussinet entre l'axe du piston et le pied de bielle, coussinet qui est mobile transversalement à l'axe longitudinal pour autoriser les mouvements transverses relatifs des deux éléments. Selon l'invention, on obtient un compresseur alternatif haute pression fonctionnant à sec amélioré et à périodicité d'entretien relativement grande.
