ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Mechanisms which can produce, with a constant speed rotary input, a reciprocating motion capable of producing very long dwells at each end of the stroke, unequally long dwells at opposite ends of a stroke, and/or momentary stops intermediate the ends of a stroke. It can be utilized to coordinate a slave workpiece manipulation system in cooperation with a Gantry type transfer system or, with its own drive system, it can be utilized wherever the aforesaid characteristics are useful.
