ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A chair of the reclining type has a pair of spaced rollers in channel members at each side of a platform to permit the chair to recline when moved to its forward position. A first link mechanism connects the back seat and chair frames with a roller on each side disposed within the channel between the rollers on the chair. A second link mechanism is formed by a pair of links having a roller between the rollers on the chair frame at each side thereof to be actuated by the first link mechanism to operate the chair frame through lazy tong links. This causes the first link mechanism to move a substantial distance greater than the chair frame due to the rollers moving together and those on the links moving the additional distance between said chair frame rollers.
