ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel bag closure system is provided which has considerable advantages over conventional tin tie closure systems. A specially-designed closure strip having bag material- receiving recesses is affixed to the bag and the bag is closed using the closure strip. Equipment is described for effecting the closure automatically.
