ABSTRACT A hermetically sealed, reclosable structure for a container having a plastic coating on its inside surface which comprises a pouring spout for the container top, which spout includes a flange that is hermetically sealed to the plastic coating on the inside surface of the top of the container and stop means for retaining hermetically applied sealing means over the pouring spout and cap means for re-opening and tightly re-closing the pouring spout. The structure of this invention provides a seal for a container intended to be filled once only with liquid contents, which containers are made wholly or partially of flexible material. The structure provides for the contents to be maintained under hermetic conditions until opened and provides for re-opening and re-closing the container once the hermetic seal has been broken.
