The invention relates to the field of cancer diagnosis and the application of diagnostic techniques in pathology and hematology. Specifically, the invention relates to flow cytometric techniques for the detection of chromosomal aberrations and the detection of tumor specific gene products exclusively expressed by tumor cells containing said chromosomal aberrations. The invention provides a method to detect chromosomal aberrations in a biological sample via the exclusive detection of tumor-specific gene-product using at least two different probes directed against the gene-product.

L'invention, qui a trait au domaine du diagnostic du cancer et à l'applications de techniques de diagnostic à la pathologie et à l'hématologie, porte spécifiquement sur des techniques de cytométrie de flux permettant de détecter les aberrations chromosomiques et les produits géniques spécifiques de tumeurs exclusivement exprimés par des cellules tumorales contenant lesdites aberrations chromosomiques. L'invention porte également une méthode de détection des aberrations chromosomiques dans des prélèvements biologiques par détection exclusive de produits géniques spécifiques de tumeurs en utilisant au moins deux sondes différentes dirigées contre les produits géniques.
