The cloning and heterologous expression of human T2 RNase6PL are disclosed. Further disclosed are methods for preventing, inhibiting and/or reversing cell motility, actin filament assembly or disassembly, proliferation, colonization, differentiation, accumulation and/or development of abnormal cells in a subject is disclosed. The methods are effected by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a RNase6PL ribonuclease or close homologues thereof.

L'invention concerne le clonage et l'expression hétérologue de RNase6PL T2. L'invention concerne également des méthodes permettant de prévenir, d'inhiber et/ou d'inverser la migration cellulaire, l'assemblage ou le désassemblage des filaments d'actine, la prolifération, la colonisation, la différenciation, l'accumulation et/ou le développement de cellules anormales chez un sujet. Lesdites méthodes sont mises en oeuvre par administration au sujet d'une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'une ribonucléase RNase6PL ou d'homologues proches de cette dernière.
