ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE As a product of manufacture, a reconstructed or re- paired dimensionally stable electrode having a conductive electrocatalytic coating thereon for use in a diaphragm-type electrolysis cell, an electrowinning cell or similar cells, comprising a conductive electrode support bar bonded to a first electrode means, and a second electrode means bonded to at least one of said electrode support bars or said first electrode means. A method is also provided for the recon- struction or repair of said electrodes in which a second electrode means is bonded to at least one of said electrode support bars or said first electrode means or to the original electrode mesh.
