ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A record player includes an electro-magnetic member for applying to a tone arm such an outside force as to cancell an inside force, a detecting member for detecting the rotational position of the tone arm, and a computer which calculates the outside force necessary to cancell the inside force depending on the rotational position of the tone arm, on the basis of the detecting signal of the detecting member, and thereby determines a control voltage for the electro-magnetic member. Further, the outside force may be controlled also on the basis of a control voltage for adjustment of stylus pressure. - 1 -
