ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Distance measuring device of the type secured to the hub of a vehicle wheel, having a counting mechanism, a printing mechanism for marking cards and feed means for advancing wheels of the counting mechanism proportionately to the distance covered by the vehicle. The feed means has an annular pendulum containing a plurality of lead balls and suspended for swinging about the axis of the vehicle wheel. Mechanical coupling members connect the pendulum with the wheels of the counting mechanism.
