The invention relates to a recording material for the inkjet method having a particularly glossy surface, a substrate material having a metal layer on at least one of its surfaces and it being possible for this metal layer additionally to be provided with a protective layer. The material thus obtained carries an ink-accepting layer on one of the following surfaces: 1. on the metal layer, 2. on the protective layer covering the metal layer, 3. on that surface of the substrate maerial which faces away from the metal layer. When an image is recorded on the ink-accepting layer on a commercial inkjet plotter, particularly reflecting reflecting colour effects are obtained, in particular colours such as silver, gold, golden red, etc. being produced, which are not achievable by means of a conventional inkjet recording method.

Matériau d'enregistrement destiné au procédé à jet d'encre, possédant une surface particulièrement brillante, ainsi qu'un substrat doté d'une couche métallique sur au moins une de ses surfaces, cette couche métallique pouvant, en outre, être pourvue d'une couche protectrice. Le matériau ainsi obtenu porte une couche acceptrice d'encre sur l'une des surfaces suivantes: 1. la couche métallique; 2. la couche protectrice recouvrant la couche métallique; 3. celle des surfaces du substrat ne faisant pas face à la couche métallique. Lorsqu'une image est enregistrée sur la couche acceptrice d'encre sur un traceur à jet d'encre du commerce, on obtient des effets de couleur réfléchissants particulièrement intéressants, notamment des couleurs telles que l'argent, le doré, le rouge doré, etc., que l'on ne peut obtenir avec le procédé classique d'enregistrement à jet d'encre.
