ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A recording scale, fox the recovery of used materials such as waste paper. It is provided with a weighing mechanism which serves to determine the weight of material and fox recording it. This mechanism is contained in a closed casing which has an opening accessible from the exterior to serve for the introduction of materials to be recovered. This opening is located opposite the weighing mechanism, provision being made for an ejector approv- al from the exterior by an operating member for releasing the weighing mechanism and transferring the weighed material into a storage chamber. The operation of the weighing and recording mechanism is made dependent on the operation of the ejector.
