RECOVERY AS HYDROELECTRIC POWER THE ENERGY LOST IN STEAM CONDENSATION Abstract An apparatus for recovering mechanical energy from the exhaust steam from a power plant is disclosed. The exhaust steam is led to a generally U-shaped sealed reservoir containing two legs filled with water. The water is driven back and forth between the legs causing the exhaust steam to condense while generating energy from the oscillating water in the reservoir.
