T 1251 A B S T R A C T RECOVERY OF CARBOXYLATE ESTER REACTION PRODUCTS The invention relates to a process for recovery of a carboxylate ester reaction product from a reaction mixture further comprising an azeotrope-forming alcohol precursor and further impurities, by fractionating the reaction mixture into a carboxylate ester product-containing stream and a first azeotrope stream; adding sufficiently additional azeotrope-forming alcohol precursor to the first azeotrope stream for providing a total concentration of the alcohol in excess of its azeotrope concentration; and fractionating the alcohol-enriched stream into a second azeotrope stream for recycle to a reaction step and a first residu stream for disposal.
