There is disclosed a process for the recovery of an insoluble fermentation product from a solid phase cell mass, the process comprising treating the fermentation broth to solubilize the cell mass and separating by known methods the liquid phase from the insoluble (product--containing) phase. The solubilization of the cell mass may be carried out by one or more treatments with an alkali or acid compound or by enzymatic treatment of the cell mass to lyze the cells.
Procédé de récupération d'un produit de fermentation insoluble à partir d'une masse cellulaire en phase solide consistant à traiter le bouillon de fermentation afin de solubiliser la masse cellulaire et à séparer par des méthodes connues la phase liquide de la phase insoluble (contenant les susdits produits). La solubilisation de la masse cellulaire peut être exécutée à l'aide soit d'un ou plusieurs traitements par des composés acides ou alcalins, soit d'un traitement enzymatique lysant les cellules de la masse cellulaire.
