ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Wet strength paper, especially high resin-content wet strength paper, such as, strippable wallpaper and milk carton stock, is recovered by dry disintegrating the paper, such as in a disk refiner or hammer mill, to effect separation of the individual fibres of the paper product one from another. The recovered material is in a fluffy fibrous form suitable for papermaking.
