A method is proposed to recover and concentrate perfluorinated compounds and hydrofluorocarbon gases from effluent gases in manufacturing processes. The method involves contacting the gas with a membrane module equipped with inorganic, molecular sieve membranes and applying a pressure difference across the membrane by compressing the feed gas or applying a vacuum to the permeate or both. The PFC and HFC gases are retained to a very high degree, achieving higher concentrations of PFC and HFC components while reducing the size of or eliminating the need for complementary processes to scavenge the PFC and HFC gases that would otherwise pass through the membrane to the permeate side.
L'invention concerne un procédé de récupération et de concentration de composés perfluorés et de gaz hydrofluorocarbonés, à partir d'effluents gazeux provenant de processus de fabrication. Ce procédé consiste à mettre en contact ces gaz avec un module membranaire pourvu de membranes minérales à tamis moléculaire, puis à appliquer une différence de pression à travers la membrane en comprimant les gaz d'alimentation et/ou en appliquant un vide du côté perméat. Le degré de rétention des gaz hydrofluorocarbone (HFC) et perfluorocarbone (PFC) est très élevé, ce qui permet d'obtenir des concentrations supérieures de constituants contenant ces gaz et de réduire en même temps, ou d'éliminer, les processus complémentaires visant à adsorber ceux des gaz qui n'auraient pas passé à travers la membrane, vers le côté perméat.
