A B S T R A C T In flue-mounted power heat recuperators, designed to transfer heat from flue gas through metal to air, a short segment of the flue is replaced by a heat exchanger, dividing the flue gas flow into separa- te passages, from which heat is reclaimed by means of crossflow for- ced air convection. In this invention, the flue is enclosed in a heat reflecting sleeve, and heat is reclaimed directly from the heat. transfer surface of the flue by means of counterflow, or parallel-flow forced air convection. Such an arrangement provides heated air of a higher temperature, and in combination with a forced air combustion furnace, enhances effici- ency of the whole central home-heating system. - 1 -
