An apparatus to change and recondition a coolant of a car having a radiator (10), an engine block and a top hose (12) connecting the radiator (10) and the engine block. The apparatus has a valve (14) to be received in the top hose (12). There is an inlet (18) and an outlet pipe (20) to be connected to the valve (14). A pump (22) is connected to the inlet pipe (18) and to the outlet pipe (20). There are tanks (28, 30), each having an inlet and an outlet, to receive coolant from the pump (22) and to supply coolant to the pump (22). These tanks (28, 30) also act to store reconditioned coolant and to receive coolant to be reconditioned. Valves (36, 38) direct coolant flow to one or other of the tanks (28, 30) as required. Using the apparatus coolant can be withdrawn from the radiator (10), pumped to a first or second tank (28, 30), reconditioned in that tank, passed to the other of the two tanks (28, 30) and then returned to the engine block.
Cette invention concerne un appareil pour vidanger et recycler le liquide de refroidissement d'une voiture dont le radiateur (10) est relié au bloc moteur par la durite supérieure (12). L'appareil comporte une vanne (14) se montant sur la durite supérieure (12), et qui est équipée d'un tuyau d'entrée (18) et d'un tuyau de sortie (20). Une pompe (22) est reliée au tuyau d'entrée (18) et au tuyau de sortie (20). Des réservoirs (28, 30), disposant chacun d'une entrée et d'une sortie, reçoivent le liquide de refroidissement depuis la pompe (22) et alimentent également celle-ci en liquide de refroidissement. Ces réservoirs (28, 30) servent à stocker le liquide de refroidissement recyclé, ainsi qu'à recevoir le liquide de refroidissement à recycler. Des vannes (36, 38) orientent le liquide de refroidissement vers l'un ou l'autre des réservoirs (28, 30) selon le cas. Grâce à cet appareil, le liquide de refroidissement peut être vidangé du radiateur (10) pour être pompé vers le premier ou le second réservoir (28, 30), recyclé dans ledit réservoir puis transvasé dans l'autre (28, 30) avant d'être refoulé dans le bloc moteur.
