Process for alcoholising a flexible polyurethane foam by reaction with an alcoholising polyol followed by separation and collection of upper and lower phase. The upper phase may be subjected to extraction followed by removal of extracting agent; the polyols so obtained may be used to prepare prepolymers and flexible foams. The lower phase may after alkoxylation be used in the preparation of rigid foams.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'alcoolisation d'une mousse de polyuréthanne souple consistant à la faire réagir avec un polyol alcoolisant, puis à séparer et à récupérer les phases supérieure et inférieure. On peut soumettre la phase supérieure à une extraction suivie de l'élimination de l'agent d'extraction; on peut utiliser les polyols ainsi obtenus pour préparer des prépolymères et des mousses souples. On peut utiliser la phase inférieure, après alcoxylation, dans la préparation de mousses rigides.
