The present invention provides a treatment for a dedicated stream of recyclable thermoplastics in which the thermoplastic is washed, granulated, optionally subjected to separation based on density, and then densified. The process has the advantage that the resulting densified recyclable thermoplastic may be transported and have much more advantageous economic rates.
