REDISPERSION OF AGGLOMERATED NOBLE METALS ON ZEOLITE CATALYSTS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Catalyst of highly siliceous zeolites having a framework silica to alumina ratio of at least 20 which contains agglomerated noble metal is rejuvenated by redispersing the noble metal. The catalyst contacts an inert gas containing molecular chlorine, water and, optionally, oxygen at 150 to 450°C, a chlorine partial pressure of 6 to 15 Torr and a ratio of water partial pressure to chlorine partial pressure of 0.01 to 2 for a time sufficient to achieve redispersion. After rejuvenation, the catalyst preferably is purged with an inert gas then reduced with H2.
