Method and apparatus for transferring fluids, especially for use in biological testing, includes an array of capillaries (10) having an inlet end (16) and an outled end (18) which is smaller than the inlet end (16). The capillary array can be formed by extruding and redrawing a honeycomb pattern of channels. Arrays of different specific binding partners formed using the capillary array are also described.
