La présente invention a pour objet de diminuer les efforts appliqués à la voilure d'un aéronef en vol, notamment à l'emplanture des ailes de cette voilure. Pour ce faire, l'invention prévoit, d'une part, un empennage canard commandable (5G, 5D) à l'avant dudit aéronef et, d'autre part, des moyens de commande dudit empennage canard engendrant un ordre de braquage dic correspondant à une augmentation de la portance dudit empennage canard lorsque, à la fois, l'ordre de braquage dm commandé par le pilote pour les gouvernes de profondeur (6G, 6D) dépasse un seuil dms et la mesure de l'accélération verticale nz de l'aéronef dépasse un seuil nzl.
