This invention is a method to inhibit the polymerization of carbonyl compounds in a basic wash unit operation in a hydrocarbon cracking process, wherein a compound selected from the group consisting of alpha-amino acids and esters thereof and amides thereof and salts thereof and mixtures thereof or Mercaptoacetic acid and alkyl esters thereof, is added either to a stream comprising a carbonyl compound or to the basic wash unit operation; wherein the compound is selected such that it remains water- soluble and base-soluble and does not flocculate in the stream or in the basic wash unit operation; and wherein the stream is contacted with the compound either before or at the same time as the stream enters the basic wash unit operation; or wherein the compound is added to the basic wash unit operation before or while the stream enters the basic wash unit operation.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant d'inhiber la polymérisation de composés carbonylés dans une opération unitaire de lavage basique d'un procédé de craquage d'hydrocarbures. Ce procédé consiste à sélectionner un composé dans un groupe comprenant des acides alpha-aminés et leurs esters et leurs amides et leurs sels et leurs mélanges ou un acide mercaptoacétique et ses esters d'alkyle, et à l'ajouter dans un courant comprenant un composé carbonylé ou dans l'opération unitaire de lavage basique. Le composé est sélectionné de façon qu'il reste soluble dans l'eau et soluble en solution basique et qu'il ne flocule pas dans le courant ou dans l'opération unitaire de lavage basique. Ce procédé consiste à mettre le courant en contact avec le composé soit avant soit au moment de l'entrée du courant dans l'opération unitaire de lavage basique, ou à ajouter le composé dans l'opération unitaire de lavage basique avant ou au moment de l'entrée du courant dans l'opération unitaire de lavage basique.
