A method for producing polytrimethylene terephthalate which comp rises polycondensation of 1,3-propane diol and dimethylterephthalate or terephthalic acid followed by solid state polymerizationof the polycondensation reaction product to increase the intrinsic viscosity, which comprises quenching the solid state polymerization product in water at a temperature of from 0 to 18~C followed by pelletization of the quenched product.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de polytéréphtalate de triméthylène qui comporte une polycondensation de 1,3-propane diol et de l'acide de diméthyltéréphtalate ou téréphtalique suivie d'une polymérisation à l'état solide du produit de la réaction de la polycondensation pour augmenter la viscosité intrinsèque, comprenant le refroidissement rapide du produit de polymérisation à l'état solide dans l'eau à une température comprise entre 0 et 18 ·C suivi d'une pelletisation du produit refroidi.
