An absorbent article is disclosed having a refastenable mechanism. The absorbent article has a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion. The crotch portion connects the front portion to the back portion. The front portion has a first end, a second end, a first side edge and a second side edge. First and second lateral sections are releasably attached to the front portion and each of the first and second lateral sections has an outer edge. The back portion has first and second side edges and first and second ends. The back portion is divided into a first section and a second section. The first section has a length L2 measured perpendicularly from the first end of the back portion to a line drawn parallel thereto. The second section has a length L3 measured perpendicularly from the second end of the back portion to the line drawn parallel to the first end whereby a ratio L2/L3 is established which ranges from between about 0.1 to about 2. The absorbent article further includes an absorbent secured to at least one of the front, back or crotch portions. Each of the outer edges of the first and second lateral sections are secured to one of the first and second side edges of the back portion to form a pant-like article having a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.
L'invention concerne un article absorbant présentant un mécanisme refixable. L'article absorbant présente une partie avant, une partie arrière ainsi qu'une partie de fourche. La partie de fourche relie la partie avant à la partie arrière. La partie avant présente une première extrémité, une seconde extrémité, un premier bord latéral et un second bord latéral. Des première et seconde parties latérales sont fixées amovibles à la partie avant et chacune des première et seconde parties latérales présente un bord extérieur. La partie arrière présente des premier et second bords latéraux ainsi que des première et seconde extrémités. La partie arrière est divisée en une première partie et une seconde partie. La première partie présente une longueur L¿2? mesurée perpendiculairement de la première extrémité de la partie arrière à une ligne tracée parallèle à celle-ci. La seconde partie présente une longueur L¿3? mesurée perpendiculairement de la seconde extrémité de la partie arrière à la ligne tracée parallèle à la première extrémité de manière qu'un rapport L¿2?/L¿3? est établi lequel est compris dans une gamme allant d'environ 0,1 à environ 2. L'article absorbant comprend également un absorbant fixé à la partie avant et/ou la partie arrière et/ou la partie de fourche. Chacun des bords extérieurs des première et seconde parties latérales est fixé à un des premier et second bords latéraux de la partie arrière pour former un article en forme de culotte ayant une ouverture pour la taille et une paire d'ouvertures pour les jambes.
