An absorbent article is disclosed having a refastenable mechanism. The absorbent article has a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion. The crotch portion connects the front portion to the back portion. The back portion has a first end, a second end and first and second side edges. The back portion is divided into a first section and a second section. The first section is extendable in at least one direction and has a length L2 measured perpendicularly from the first end of the back portion to a line drawn parallel thereto. The second section has a length L3 measured perpendicularly from the second end of the back portion to the line drawn parallel to the first end whereby a ratio L2/L3 is established which ranges from between about 0.1 to about 2. First and second fasteners are positioned and secured adjacent to one of the first and second side edges of the back portion and are secured thereto. The absorbent article further includes an absorbent secured to at least one of said front, back or crotch portions. Each of the first and second fasteners are releasably attached to the front portion to form a pant-like article having a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.
L'invention concerne un article absorbant dont le mécanisme d'attache peut être réutilisé. Cet article comporte une partie avant, une partie arrière et une partie d'entrejambe qui relie entre elles les deux parties précédentes. La partie arrière comporte des première et seconde extrémités et bordures latérales, et elle est divisée en première et seconde sections. La première section est extensible au moins selon une direction, comportant une longueur L¿2? mesurée perpendiculairement depuis la première extrémité de la partie arrière par rapport à une ligne parallèle à cette première extrémité. La seconde section comporte une longueur L¿3? mesurée perpendiculairement depuis la seconde extrémité de la partie arrière par rapport à la ligne parallèle à la première extrémité, moyennant quoi on établit un rapport L¿2?/L¿3? compris entre environ 0,1 et environ 2. Des première et seconde attaches sont placées en position adjacente à l'une ou l'autre des première et seconde bordures latérales de la partie arrière, fixées à cette partie. En outre, l'article absorbant comprend un élément absorbant fixé au moins à l'une des trois parties susmentionnées (avant, arrière, entrejambe). Les attaches susmentionnées sont fixées libérables à la partie avant, de manière à former un article de type pantalon ayant une ouverture pour le bassin et deux ouvertures pour les jambes.
