A reference pin (1 ) for use during bone fracture treatment comprising A) a longitudinal shaft (2) with a longitudinal axis (3), a front end (4), a rear end (5) and a through hole (6) penetrating said shaft (2) from said front end (4) to said rear end (5); B) said shaft (2) a rear portion (8) adjoining said rear end (5) and an expandable front portion (7) adjoining said front end (4); said expandable front portion (7) being insertable in a distal locking hole (31 ) of an intramedullary nail (30) and being reversibly expandable transversely to said longitudinal axis (3); whereby said reference pin (1 ) further comprises C) a spreading member (9) moveably located in said through hole (6) and being apt for reversibly expanding said expandable front end portion (7).

L'invention concerne une broche de référence (1) utilisée pendant le traitement d'une fracture osseuse et comprenant (A) une tige longitudinale (2) possédant un axe longitudinal (3), une extrémité avant (4), une extrémité arrière (5) et un trou traversant (6) entrant dans la tige (2) à partir de l'extrémité avant (4) en direction de l'extrémité arrière (5), (B) la tige (2) comprenant une partie arrière (8) reliée à l'extrémité arrière (5) et une partie avant expansible (7) reliée à l'extrémité avant (4), la partie avant expansible (7) pouvant être insérée dans un trou de blocage distal (31) d'un clou intramédullaire (30) et pouvant subir une expansion réversible transversalement par rapport à l'axe longitudinal (3). Cette broche de référence (1) comprend en outre (C) un élément d'étalement (9) disposé mobile dans le trou traversant (6) et permettant l'expansion réversible de la partie avant expansible (7).
