A refill station adapted to dock an ink replenishment cartridge and a printer cartridge to have its ink replenished using a flow system whereby cannula or needle interconnection with the system of the cartridges allows electronic monitoring and sequencing of the operations. The flow system has threshold valving, at least one damped route, at least one by pass route and a pump whereby ink can be cleared from the printer cartridge and be replaced by more ink from the replenishment cartridge. Pressure relief and ink quality maintenance procedures are embodied in flow system.
La présente invention concerne une station de remplissage prévue pour recevoir une cartouche de remplissage d'encre et une cartouche d'imprimante pour que cette dernière soit remplie d'encre au moyen d'un système d'écoulement dans lequel une interconnexion par canule ou aiguille avec le système des cartouches permet d'effectuer la surveillance électronique et le séquençage des opérations. Le système d'écoulement comporte un ensemble de robinets, au moins un circuit amorti, au moins un circuit de passage et une pompe pour permettre d'évacuer l'encre de la cartouche d'imprimante et de la remplacer par une plus grande quantité d'encre provenant de la cartouche de remplissage. Des procédures de réduction de la pression et de maintien de la qualité sont également inclues dans le système d'écoulement.
