REFORMING PROCESS Abstract of the Disclosure A reforming process, in which a reforming feed is contacted under reforming conditions with an inventory of a catalyst comprising from 0.01 to 2% wt. of a platinum group metal, from 0.01 to 3% wt. of halogen and a carrier therefor, characterized in that from 1 to 100% vol. of the catalyst in said inventory contains from 0.1 to 25% wt. of a crystalline zeolite and that the K factor ( a function of the rate at which all catalysts in the system isomerize o-xylene to m- and p-xylenes compared to that at which a standard reforming catalyst minus any zeolite isomerizes o-xylene under the same conditions) of said inventory is from 1.5 to 15. At these conditions the catalysts show significant improvement in stability towards aging during reforming, while still maintaining high liquid yields at high octane number.
