An elevator cab lighting assembly comprising a refractive sheet mounted on the interior of the elevator cab. A light source is mounted at and conducts light into an outer edge of the refractive sheet. The light received at the outer edge of the travels along the refractive sheet and passes out of the planar surface and inner edge of the sheet exposed within the interior of the cab. The refractive sheet may be randomly sanded or sandblasted to provide diffuse light. The sheet may be etched or routed in standard or custom designs to provide accent highlighting. The lighting assembly is housed within a transom assembly that may be accessed from the exterior of the cab.

L'invention concerne un ensemble d'éclairage pour cabine d'ascenseur comprenant une feuille réfractrice montée à l'intérieur de la cabine d'ascenseur. Une source de lumière est montée et permet de conduire la lumière dans un bord externe de la feuille réfractrice. La lumière reçue au niveau dudit bord externe se déplace le long de la feuille réfractrice et sort hors de la surface plane et du bord interne de la feuille exposée au sein de la cabine. Ladite feuille réfractrice peut être poncée ou passée au jet de sable de manière aléatoire pour engendrer une lumière diffuse. Ladite feuille peut être gravée ou acheminée sous forme de modèles personnalisés ou traditionnels pour engendrer un éclairage principal. Cet ensemble d'éclairage est logé au sein d'un ensemble d'imposte accessible de l'extérieur de la cabine.
