Refractory ceramic possessing a solidus temperature between 25000°C and 28000°C having a compactness greater than 85%, the microstructure of said ceramic being such that it is composite and comprises: hafnium dioxide HfO2 grains of monoclinic structure (1); hafnium dioxide HfO2 grains of cubic structure (2) stabilized by yttrium oxide Y2O3, the yttrium oxide Y2O3 representing 0, 5 mol % to 8 mol % relative to the total number of moles of hafnium dioxide HfO2; closed pores (3) and non-interconnected open pores. The invention also relates to the process for manufacturing said ceramic and to a structural part incorporating said ceramic.
Matériau céramique réfractaire possédant une température de solidus comprise entre 25000°C et 28000°C, présentant une compacité supérieure à 85 % et dont la microstructure est telle que le matériau est composite et comprend : des grains de dioxyde de hafnium HfO2 de structure monoclinique (1); des grains de dioxyde de hafnium HfO2 de structure cubique (2) stabilisée par de l'oxyde d'yttrium Y2O3, l'oxyde d'yttrium Y2O3 représentant 0, 5 % à 8 % en moles par rapport au nombre total de moles de dioxyde de hafnium HfO2; des pores fermés (3); des pores ouverts qui ne sont pas interconnectés. L'invention concerne également le procédé de fabrication dudit matériau et une pièce de structure incorporant ledit matériau.
