The invention concerns a refractory material based on corundum treated by electrofusion consisting of beads of diameter ranging between 50 µm and 5 mm, having a total pore ratio ranging between 10 and 50 % of the volume of the beads, the sealed porosity representing from 80 to 98 % of the total porosity. The inventive material is in particular designed for spray-applied refractory concrete.

L'invention a pour objet un matériau réfractaire à base de corindon électrofondu constitué de billes de diamètre compris entre 50 ~m et 5 mm, présentant un taux de porosité totale compris entre 10 et 50% du volume des billes, la porosité fermée représentant de 80 à 98 % de la porosité totale. Le matériau selon l'invention est destiné notamment aux bétons réfractaires appliqués par projection.
