ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The container (35) is provided for use in a refrigerant recovery device (10). The container (10) includes a refrigerant storage tank (102) having a wall (156) defining an exterior and generally hollow interior (103). A tank inlet (100) is provided through which refrigerant can flow from the exterior of the tank (102) to the interior (103) of the tank. A tank outlet (108) is provided through which refrigerant can flow from the interior of the tank to the exterior of the tank. A contaminant canister (54) is provided for separating contaminants from refrigerant and for storing the contaminants so separated. The contaminant canister includes a wall (160) defining an interior (53) and an exterior, and is disposed substantially within the interior (103) of the refrigerant storage tank. A canister inlet (52) is provided through which refrigerant can flow into the canister and a canister outlet (58) is provided through which refrigerant can flow out of the canister. A canister removal means (134) is provided for removing contaminant from the canister.
