A refuse container assembly for segregating refuse into two separately collectable volumes includes a refuse container with a divider wall extending from front to rear wall to divide the interior into two compartments. Separate lids for the compartments are hingedly connected to the rear wall and have a locking pin extending outwardly of the adjacent side wall. Locking members are disposed on the outer surface of each of the side walls and are movable between a position engaging the locking pin and a releasing position. An actuator on the forward end of a refuse collection truck bears upon and moves one locking member from one of the positions to the other of the positions, thereby allowing one of the lids to be opened to effect discharge of the contents of its compartment.
La présente invention vise un contenant à déchets comportant une cloison séparatrice se prolongeant de la paroi avant jusqu'à la paroi arrière du contenant et servant à diviser ce dernier en deux compartiments distincts aux fins de séparation des déchets. Des couvercles distincts pour chacun des compartiments sont montés sur une charnière fixée à la paroi arrière du contenant et comportent chacun une goupille de verrouillage se prolongeant au-delà de la paroi latérale du contenant. Des éléments mobiles, venant s'engager sur la goupille du couvercle aux fins de verrouillage du compartiment, sont montés sur la surface extérieure de chacune des parois latérales du contenant. Un actionneur monté sur l'extrémité avant d'un camion de collecte appui sur l'élément de verrouillage du couvercle d'un des compartiments et le déplace de la position verrouillée à la position déverrouillée pour permettre le déchargement dans la benne du contenu du compartiment en question.
