REGENERATIVE D.C. MOTOR CONTROL HAVING FIELD AND ARMATURE CONTROL Abstract of the Disclosure A regenerative motor control of the field reversing type includes an input amplifier coupled to a field circuit for energizing the motor field and an armature circuit for energizing the motor armature. A limit circuit connected to the input amplifier and field winding is responsive to the magnitude and direction of field current. The limit circuit retains the output of the input amplifier at a level insuffi- cient to establish armature current until the field current is established. Thereafter, the output of the amplifier, and the armature current, may increase within the limit established by the existing field current. The d.c. motor control prevents application of undesirably large armature currents to the motor while providing fast response characteristics. - 0 -
