A three dimensionally structured fibrous web is disclosed which includes elevations and depressions which regularly alternate with respect to the plane of the web. The laminate includes at least two staple fibre mat outer layers and a shrunken web connected therewith. The connection between the nonwoven and the shrunken web is thereby achieved by hot melt bonding and the hot melt bonding is in a pattern of regularly positioned lines extending perpendicular to the direction of the strongest shrinkage of the shrunken web. The webs in accordance with the invention can be used especially as filter materials, in hygiene articles, or as hooking (loop) portion of hook and loop closures.
