A regulation system and method in a paper machine for controlling the variation of the basis weight of a paper web in the machine direction in which the basis weight profile of the web is measured by means of a measurement device and a basis weight regulation system receives a signal of the measurement of the basis weight from the measurement device and generates a regulation signal for controlling the flow of thick stock passed into a short circulation circuit in the paper machine by a basis weight valve and/or a regulation pump. The variation of the basis weight in the machine direction in the paper machine is controlled, besides by the short circulation circuit of regulation, also by a substantially faster second circuit of regulation which comprises one or more actuators for controlling the flow rate of the dilution water flow in the dilution profiling system of the headbox and/or the consistency of the dilution water flow across the entire width of the paper web.
La présente invention concerne un système de régulation de machine à papier et le procédé correspondant. L'invention vise à réguler, dans le sens de fabrication, la variation de la force de la bande de papier. En l'occurrence, on mesure le profil de la force du papier au moyen d'instruments de mesure, puis un système de régulation de la force du papier, qui reçoit de l'instrument de mesure un signal de mesure de la force du papier, génère un signal de régulation servant à commander le débit de la pâte épaisse envoyée dans un circuit court de circulation de la machine à papier par une vanne de grammage et/ou une pompe de régulation. La régulation de la variation de la force du papier dans le sens de fabrication utilise, outre le circuit court de circulation, un second circuit de régulation sensiblement plus rapide. Ce second circuit comprend un ou plusieurs actionneurs permettant de réguler le débit de l'eau de dilution dans le système de réglage du profil de dilution de la caisse de tête et/ou la consistance du courant d'eau de dilution dans toute la largeur de la bande de papier.
